There's a good chance your ICM is toast too, or will be shortly.
Why is that..?
I couldnt get things done as fast as folks could type them lol.. I did end up unplugging the injectors just like people said to do.. One thing at a time. Please try to keep in mind this forum is not the only place I look for information from. I use other sites as well.
A bad/shorted coil can/will send spikes through the ICM and overheat it. It can go to the point where it'll still run but, you'll get surging while cruising, until it goes totally out and shuts down.
Not the ECM, the ICM (Ignition Control Module) inside the distributor.
