Hey guys, new to the forum. Having some trouble and nowhere else to turn to so hopefully I can find a solution here!

Got a 1994 full size blazer with the 5.7 TBI. I had a leaking radiator so I just replaced it. Everything all finished, and when checking for leaks everywhere I noticed a very slow drip from the transmission cooler lines where they attach at the radiator fittings. Both upper and lower are both dripping, maybe 1 drop every 10-15 seconds. I tried tightening them more and more but that didn't work. Assuming this is a softer metal I stopped trying to tighten them and I looked online. I found somewhere that someone tried loosening them and realigning the lines and firmly seating them into the hole before tightening the retaining nut thing that holds them in. (I have the flared fitting, not the style that have the quick connect clip thing)

I made sure to compare the 2 radiators side by side before installing, I double/triple checked all of the connections such as oil cooler fittings, trans cooler fittings, etc. I did not have any sort of rubber seal or o-ring where the old trans cooler lines attach to the radiator. I triple checked that before installing. The only ones that had a rubber o-ring were the oil cooler lines which are a different style of fitting.

Any tips or tricks here? I have heard people using Teflon tape on the threads of the fittings before screwing it in, but I don't know if the leak is coming from the threads or the flared tube end not sealing inside the fitting itself.
