    So let me get this straight. the oil pressure sending unit is on the top of the motor on the back of the motor?

    Well the motor isnt and/or hasnt knocked at all so i dont think its a main bearing failure. i believe its a sender unit. the low pressure happened after i mixed the 5w20 with the 5w30

    alright, im gonna change the sending unit along with the oil and if i still have the low pressure ill run thicker oil

    My buddy i bought it from said it was changed right before i bought it. so about 3k miles ago. i planned on changing it this weekend

    I think the low pressure issue is cause i mixeds 5w20 with 5w30.

    Yea i hopped it was a sensor screwed up. this is the second motor the trucks had and it has 200k on it. if this one blows im gonna buy a brand new long block. ill have to hook up a mechanical gauge and see. hopefully its just the sending unit

    Hey, when i accelerate from a dead stop or do a burnout, my oil pressure gauge drops to zero then comes back up. engine sounds fine when the gauge reads zero. And also my oil pressure is reading lower than usual. at idle is reads normal. cruising at 50 mph it reads about 30-38 psi when usually...

    Engine died while driving

    My 5.7 vortec randomly died going 45 down the road while i was driving. anybody know what would cause it? no CEC and no codes. had to use my jumper pack to start it again after i pulled over

    Corner Light Nuts

    Does anyone know where i could get some new corner light nuts? when i removed my old ones the threads on the nuts were so thin the bent and idk if theyre still usable.
