So I can hear my throw out bearing make noise that goes away when I put in the clutch. How hard is it to replace the throw out bearing on my '91 C1500? Ive done clutch replacements on smaller cars, just wondering how dificult it is on this truck. Thanks!
If the shocks are whats limiting your travel they wont last long on the trail. I have always made sure my shocks were long enough not to limit wheel travel.
Can I increase the wheel travel on my '91 2 wheel drive without spending a couple grand? I dont plan on racing it, just want to have some fun in the sand and dirt. Im only planning on running a 33" tire and just a couple inches lift.
The issue I have with a Duramax swap is that people want $4-$5 grand for a take out motor. I would love to do a Cummins swap but those motors are had to find in my budget.
Anyone swap a gas to diesel in a OBS? I want to remove my weak 5 litre for more power and MPG'S. Ive had a 6.5 turbo diesel in the past and liked it. I dont plan on anything wild, just a small power increase to get over 400 pounds torque and try for 20 MPG freeway. How much work is involved? I...
Sure. Might have to trim a little or do some persuading with a hammer. But nothing noticable. Like around front bumper or rear of front fender. Right now Im stock with 31's and have no problems. Soon Im gonna level the front and run 33's. I know thats gonna take some work with the sawz-all.

OK, anyone here install fiberglass fenders on their truck? How difficult was the instal? I take it you lose the inner fenders. Any unforeseen problems that need to be addressed? Im looking at the style that allow you to run a larger tire without lifting as much. Like these...
I want to cut my fender openings to open them up and am looking for a decent looking flare. The Bushwakers are ridiculously expensive and I really dont need 5" of extra tire coverage. I only want 2-3 inches of coverage but want to cut a couple inches from my fenders.
