    Need help troubleshooting.

Bought a pressure tester and was only getting 5 psi to the rail. Went and bought a new high quality Airtex 255 pump and she fired right up and is running just like before. Guess that's what I get for buying the cheap pump to run this LS engine, only lasted 1027 miles.

The battery is good to go. I suspect that my fuel is not supplying the needed amount do pressure to push through the injectors. I am still trying to locate a pressure test kit to confirm this.

    Need help troubleshooting.

I completed a swap back in March on my truck. I had a 4.3 in my 94 RCSB and replaced it with a 5.3 from an 2005 Tahoe. My truck died on the way to the lake to take my daughters tubing on our boat. When I was going down the on ramp to merge onto the interstate, the engine fell on it face and...

Never know, I could get stationed at an air base near you. Is that a flame coming from the back of your avatar?

I drink homebrew most of the time, and when I actually buy myself beer it mostly craft beer. If I had to choose between commercial brands, I choose the Miller-Coors brewing company. I am a big fan of the banquet beer, Coors Original. I Never go camping without a case or two in tow.

Love my beer too! I almost forgot, this forum was here, not really or just recently became a user of forums. Started using ls1truck.com for my conversion, but I am nowhere near the subject matter expert (SME) on these and need help. I know transmissions, transfer cases, axles and anything to do...

    Passenger drop tcase?

Above info is correct, and there are several ways to run a divorced setup. It's called divorced for a reason. It's 2 beings (trans and case) living in a setup arrangement (your truck) that may agree or disagree to what's going on, but cooperate to a certain level, much like a divorced couple...

    4wd wiring question please help!!!!!!

Not really a lot of info to go off of but if you can check your front diff for your ifs and see if the is a connector for the actuator still there. A lot of people in cold weather areas remove these to help engage the front wheels in cold weather. I know there is a brown wire in this connection...

    Passenger drop tcase?

The option depends on what you want to spend. Most people that I work with have not had good luck with the 5lm60 or aka Getrag 290. I have never owned one but have rebuilt one for a friend. Very complicated transmission with 4 assorted shift rails. We have replace them with NV3500 205 combo and...

    The Stupid Axle Questions Thread

Agree, should be easy, but not sure if it has been done. The 1500 (5 lug) and 2500 ( 6 lug) 7200 lbs have a 295mm ID as the 3500 has a 315mm. Just wondering if the spindles are interchangeable?

    The Stupid Axle Questions Thread

No experience with adapters, but I have heard horror stories about them. Maybe with proper measurements and distribution the adapters can work without a hitch.

Hi, I signed up a while ago but never made a post. I just recently in the past year became a forums user. I have a lot of experience working on the 88-98 GM but only really dedicated my knowledge to solid axle conversions. I have a 94 RCSB that I put an 05' LS in. My back ground is metal...

    Whats my gear ratio ?

Did a lot of wrestling tournaments there growing up. I am from 15 miles south of Lake Charles from a little place called Grand Lake. I lived there for 20 years until the Air Force, spent my first year at Luke outside of Phoenix AZ. Then got reassigned to Barksdale in Bossier La for 5 years...
