I wouldnt even try it with the door panel still in the truck. Working on the panel laying flat on a bench it so much easier than trying to do it still on the door.
The top portion was done whne i had the seats redone by the local classic soft trim shop. They recoved the front seats and rear seat as well as switching out the upper sections. It looks like that was a piece that they glued over the factory insert. As far as removing the carpet on the bottom...
Im runing the procomp 5.5 in lift srpings on mine and so foar they heave been great. I havent towed or hauled anything yet but the ride is fairly smooth for a higher arched spring.
It took some time but i got mine done. I took and cut all the carpet off painted the speaker grill then recovered it with full quill ostrich. Came out better than I ever expected it would.
Im heading up friday afternoon with the family and friends only about 1.5 hr drive cant beat that. I think the goodguys show is at the speedway this weekend also
Has anyone removed the carpet on the bottom of the door panels? I would like to either paint this aera or replace the carpet with a piece of leather. Im also open to any other ideas:hmm:
Few picts of my 95 change have been made since these pics but the weather has not bee helpfull in getting new pics. The exhaust is now dumped, kodiak steps installed,nbs gmc body moldings, and the bedrails have been painteed black
put the new cap and rotor on last night and that seems to of fixed the problem. probaly going to seafoam this weekend just to make sure everthing is cleaned out
