1996 CC K3500 dually “working classic”

Need to do those fenders on my standard cab 99 K3500. Cab and chassis with a 9’ flatbed. Would save a lot of clean up after yanking a load of cattle out of a muddy field, have to floor it to get the tires cleaning out.

Thinking GMT400 3500 Dually for Track Day Towing, Thoughts?

2” rear spacers. Steel inner wheels, American Eagle bullet hole alloy outers and steers. I can’t figure out how to post pics from my phone…

Thinking GMT400 3500 Dually for Track Day Towing, Thoughts?

I bought a 99 K3500 cab and chassis dually for $7500 in January. Got tired of breaking 1/2 tons. Truck had 136,000 miles on it. Freshly built Vortec 350, new clutch, new NV4500, BW4470 t-case, ff 14 bolt, 4.10s on LT265/75r16E highway tires. I went for a standard cab, they don’t seem to get the...

    Who We Got From Tennessee?

Brighton area, north of Memphis off TN-14. First gmt400 was a $300 92 K1500 ecsb, tbi 5.7/700r4/241/3.42s on LT264/75r16E 3 peak rated ATs. Got tired of wasting money on a 700r4. Currently rocking a 99 K3500, standarb cab, flatbed cab and chassis with a Vortec 5.7, NV4500, BW t-case and 4.10s on...

    K3500 chassis cab tires?

Drove it home from the town job last night, in a snow “event”, in 2wd. Why 2wd you ask? Because the actuator, well, does not actuate anything. It did fine on the HTs, but spins out on wet pasture grass. Guess I’ll be perma-locking the front axle. Would rather have a little extra wear and fuel...

    K3500 chassis cab tires?

I have a finished by Bennet Industries 99 K3500 flatbed. Their label specs it for LT215/85r15 at 65psi for every tire. Truck is currently wearing a mix of Michelin and Mastercraft LT265/75r16 HTs. I plan to split the difference and run LT235/85r16 ATs all around. Inner duals are stock steels...

    New here today...

Funny you mention running over trees... the back 15-20 acres is straight up jungle. Pretty sure it already has a minor kink in the frame from the buddy I got it from. He put it in a ditch at a high enough rate of speed, unbelted, to shatter the dash, shatter the windshield, cave in the bumper...

700 needs rebuilt. What do I need?

I've got a couple jumbos I could use, but at 4mpg on a good day... 1987 C60 with 350/4spd or a 1968 D400 based motorhome with 413/727. Don't mind cutting the load weight down. I do need this truck fully functional. I'm only in it $500, new windshield and purchase price combined. New bed will...

700 needs rebuilt. What do I need?

First ever 700r4. 92 K1500 ecsb. 330hp crate 350 with tbi reinstalled by previous owner. LT285/75R16AT tires, getting swapped for mud tires. Primarily a farm use truck, but, will be seeing some high speed highway use. If you can't do at least 80 in a 55 here, the tractor trailers will knock you...

    New here today...

The only pics I had were on a phone that got broken, so, I'll take some more. Currently the truck is a faded out 2 tone blue. Plan is a mild lift, either 285/75R16, 315/85R16 or 9.00-16LT mud tires, and a front bumper made of some 6" structural i-beam faced with 6x12 or 8x12 red oak. Fix the...

    New here today...

Bought a 92 K1500 Silverado ecsb back in August. Have been working on it, and working it since. In a bit over my head, I'm more of a points and carburetor guy than I am an EFI and electronic ignition guy. Truck runs great, only 2 forward speeds work out of 4, transfer case and front axle are...

So how did you find GMT400.com??

Ran a search on multiple tech issues with my 92 K1500 Silverado ecsb, this site kept coming up. Have been reading it off and on for months trying to sort out the truck, finally joined up.
