    5.0l exhaust has 1 cat, and 5.7 has the dual cats. The 2 rear o2 sensors only monitor cat efficiency. 2 front o2 sensors work to adjust fuel trip.

    Wire hardness should be exact same between the 2, however unsure about the PCM.

    No crank no start. power

    Have a 98 took engine out and new one in. All connectors on engine minus o2 sensors plugged in. No crank no start but power to my gauges. Also don't think my headlights work yet. Is this a bad ground issue. No solenoid click. Or bad starter ?

    Vortec to Carb swap

    Down for the carb swap. I was about to do it myself. Hei distributor. Special intake. Fuel pressure regulator. Holly i believe is the only carb ( maybe qjet ) that have a tps for transmission. I was going to do manual swap at same time so I wouldn't have to worry.

    Aside from my 98, also bought my first squarebody last week. Engine should go in tomorrow night / Saturday and hopefully move for the first time in a long time

    Engine harness

    I believe I'm going to just use harness out of truck now, found one connector end cut and not sure of what its for. I think less headache figuring which connector goes where than a harness that wont work haha. Sounds like it goes in on Friday night or Saturday.

    Progress to be made this weekend. Have to change a couple parts and put new studs on exhaust when it's out. Then put it in this weekend

    Will complete engine harness from a 1996 work in a 1998 ? Only harness / computer off the 96. I have a 96 350 with harness and computer still on it, and a 98 sierra without engine, but harness still in truck. Rather use harness off engine

Pulled window, door handles, wheels, and headlights from my 97 into the 98. Have a blue hood for the 98. Going to strip down parts i didnt need for the 89 engine...

    Big news. 305 in the white truck had an engine cooler line blow and oil went everywhere and is now f$%k. Fuel pressure regulator came into today. Pulled a transmission from an 89 K1500, going to use engine from same truck and put carb manifold on. this truck is going to be going within this or...
