Engine harness

Will complete engine harness from a 1996 work in a 1998 ? Only harness / computer off the 96. I have a 96 350 with harness and computer still on it, and a 98 sierra without engine, but harness still in truck. Rather use harness off engine

96 was 2wd and my 98 is 4x4

Not sure about that, there was stuff that was changed. PCM went from 5 plugs to 4, airbags changed, stereo changed, but it is possible that the engine harness plops right in there. 2wd vs 4wd will need attention though.

I believe I'm going to just use harness out of truck now, found one connector end cut and not sure of what its for. I think less headache figuring which connector goes where than a harness that wont work haha. Sounds like it goes in on Friday night or Saturday.
