    Spongy brakes to no end

The parking brake was the first thing i troubleshot. it still feels the exact same, engages, and disengages 100%. As for air in the lines, that was a simple suspicion. Possibly coming in as a hose or wheel cylinder ruptured, and i let off the pedal to start down the hill. I'm not a certified GM...

    Spongy brakes to no end

I jacked it up one direction and bled through a half gallon or so of cheapy super tech, then the back and did it again, and still got solid fluid through all bleeders after the first couple pumps. and yeay, ext cab, long bed.

Dana 70, and in my opinion, good working drums are unicorns.

Not a drop. part of me wants to just shell out and convert it to disc. I always have hated drums

    Spongy brakes to no end

I wish. Theyre pretty spongy about halfway down, then all the sudden, real strong. like throw your body forward strong. I'm dreading that it's likely a wheel cylinder issue as that's the last things i haven't touched other than front calipers, and it's not my daily, so im choosing to...

    Spongy brakes to no end

    1. (pic attached) The bleeder on the left? i've turned that fella for miles over the last two weeks. no air, just solid fluid flowing. i've also played with the little nub on the right, and got it to release fluid. 2. Sometimes it will stay on after for a while. so do you mean side as in...

    Spongy brakes to no end

Tore up some gravel and re-bled brakes, and tightened a fitting on the side of the master cylinder that looked like it wasn't in quite all the way, but gave me no real reason to beleive it was leaking. A couple times it stuttered and the brake light went out, brakes were strong but touchy and...

    Spongy brakes to no end

a couple weeks ago, i backed up a hill a steep hill, parked (with parking brake), dropped my tailgate, and rolled a considerable log into the back of my 89 K3500. when i started it up an released the Peebrake, the brake light on the dash didnt go out... i shrugged, went to put the truck in gear...

    Radiator/cooler question

I'll take some when I get home, I know that was a little hard to follow and probably didn't make sense. Well thanks guys, I had a gut feeling that wasn't really going to be necessary, looks like I'm going to invest in a transmission cooler kit

    Radiator/cooler question

Looking for trans cooler advice: So, ive got an 89 1 ton with a 454/TH400. Ive read a lot about high trans temps while towing with this setup, which is a situation ill be in soon. im not sure yet where and how im putting in a temp gauge, but thats not why i'm here. Last fall i put in a new...

    The Cali nostalgia project.

Some crazy sonofabitch actually decided it would be profitable. She's on her way. God help that yotota if he brakes too hard, that poor thing is getting the works.

    The Cali nostalgia project.

Big Girl is all packed up and ready to ship, but as i'd imagine, they're having trouble finding a carrier whos willing to A) Haul a CCLB Dually, and B) Go to West Virginia - fingers crossed. Got back from deployment earlier this month to two busted windows and 2500$ worth of my posessions, which...

    Removing Dually rear fenders/extensions

So are those studs mounted in there? Trying to figure out how I should get a wrench on to the back of them... Or what I'm really afraid of is that they're not supposed to be free spinning and I broke one loose. That's why I stopped and figured I should ask the question before I broke more

    Removing Dually rear fenders/extensions

Anyone got any info or done it before? it looked simple, but i don't want to mess this up with some trial and error shennanigans. Gotta ship the dually cross country, and fit it on a regular width car hauler. I'm eventually going to remove the cheap conversion and go back to single wheel, but...

    Official Dually Picture Thread!!

Anyone know how the easy way to take the rear fender extensions off? im about to ship my dually cross-country, and i'd rather not just start unbolting things till it falls off.
