You also stated that the c3500 calipers wouldn't work with the nbs master, creating a mushy pedal again... Can you elaborate more on this please, as I was going to do that exact same thing. Thanks

Ok guys, I found a pair of the Wilwood spot calipers on ebay for $170. My question is, would you run both calipers on each rear rotor, or would only one be needed. I prefer things on my truck to be as symmetrical as possible. So I'd run both sides for looks, and I'm sure it wouldn't hurt...

Ok so that idea is totally doable.... Wilwood still sells the mechanical caliper for like $85. And if I spend more time searching I find one that will work with the Impala SS rotors.. Would just need to fab up a bracket for it, and adapt the factory brake cable and done. A legal mechanical...

Dude that's pretty wicked... I've seen stuff like that on rock crawlers and monster trucks, but seeing it on a halfton has got my mind Rollin! I'm gonna see what else used a cable caliper and see if I can't make something work. Great ideas guys!

That's a pretty cool idea for an electric parking brake, but looks like it's just an actuator that takes the place of the pedal operation. You would mount the actuator on the frame, and when engaged it pulls parking brake cable to engage the parking brake. Really a good alternative to having a...

Also, I'm curious if the line lock solenoid could be redesigned to 100% duty... I work in commercial hvac and deal with solenoids daily. Which most can be found in 100% duty cycles. Would just need a better solenoid I believe.

I understand your concern completely, however I don't use my parking brake, and I could count on one hand the times used it in the last several years. Your point is valid for sure, however I'm fortunate enough that my truck isn't a daily driver, it gets roughly 30-50 miles a month put on it...

In a month or so I should have my entire brake system lined out. Starting with the front.... Front 1ton calipers, crossed drilled/slotted rotors, ceramic pads, and steel braided brake lines. 03 Tahoe master cylinder with brake line adapter. ABS deleted and removed, adjustable prop valve...

Well like I said previously, I would figure the rear disc conversion out one way or another. So for those of you interested in doing this conversion WITHOUT an e-brake then here is what I used. 98 chevy s10 front calipers from Orilleys Ceramic brake pads for s10 from ebay Weld-on Metric...

Just realized that in 6 months nobody had any input on this topic, more specifically my questions on this swap. Does anybody have an answer, or am I alone on this.... Doesn't make much difference to me, I'll figure it out, I just thought this was one of the "better" forums than the others...
