It is a 94 manual. And I don't have any patches listed on my .xdf and I went to my flags and could only find a few EGR options. The one I thought might help is EGR off at idle. I tried to turn it off and I get the error "could not write change to log file." I'm really new to tunerpro rt, so...
I have no other ideas how to test it. I've driven it and gotten everything hot and watched it idling, revved the engine and watched it. The only thing I haven't done is mounted a camera beside of it and watched it while driving. I think it's just weird that it's not showing 12v at the...
Also I rechecked power coming into the solenoid. My dad helped me first time and he said it showed 12v. I tried again at home with my meter and not showing 12v going into the solenoid. I can set my meter to 200m DC and shows 12 but not set at 20v like checking my battery. I can connect a test...
I'm not very familiar with EGR stuff, this is all new to me. If the pintle is the shaft that the diaphragm sits or rides on then yes it lifted. As far as the solenoid goes I put the vacuum tester to the end where the vacuum line connects from the solenoid to the EGR and it never pulled any...
Ok. I've ordered a TBI rebuild kit. Vacuum tested the EGR and it held vacuum for over a minute without leaking off. Checked vacuum from the TBI to the EGR solenoid and was pulling about 15. But reviews I read about the gauge I rented said they couldn't get it passed 15, so I'm assuming it...
Bummer about the redhead. That's the one I was looking to get. I actually found some adjustments you can do to the steering boxes. So I did that and got maybe a small amount out. Going to rebuild the rest of the steering and then go from there.
Ok, the solenoid is working. So I will get a vacuum tester and check the EGR valve. Also while troubleshooting, I was going to remove my fuel injectors and clean them and noticed the one on the left in the picture is wet and the right is dry. What could cause this?
I'll check and see if I can rent one of those and I've never heard or felt the solenoid click. Could I try putting 12v to the solenoid to try and activate it?
Yes the steering shaft was connected. I watched the steering box and my dad moved the steering wheel back and forth and tons of play in the steering wheel before any movement was seen in steering box or pitman arm.
