    Bummer about the redhead. That's the one I was looking to get. I actually found some adjustments you can do to the steering boxes. So I did that and got maybe a small amount out. Going to rebuild the rest of the steering and then go from there.

    Ok, the solenoid is working. So I will get a vacuum tester and check the EGR valve. Also while troubleshooting, I was going to remove my fuel injectors and clean them and noticed the one on the left in the picture is wet and the right is dry. What could cause this?

    Yes the steering shaft was connected. I watched the steering box and my dad moved the steering wheel back and forth and tons of play in the steering wheel before any movement was seen in steering box or pitman arm.

    Do you recommend a scan tool for pre odb 2? I have a few different odb2 scanners but I know they do me no good for this truck being a 94. https://www.autozone.com/test-scan-and-specialty-tools/code-reader/p/innova-gm-obd1-code-rea This is the only thing I can find but it only reads codes.

    Ok, I'll check that...I was able to check to see if I have vacuum on the EGR side of the solenoid and there is no vacuum. I do have vacuum going into the solenoid from the TBI.
