241 transfer case bolt size issues

Sorry for not responding. I was in the process of moving. The slop was rotational and went away when the bolts were torqued but I worried the torque from the output of the trans would cause the t-case to loosen with the way it just hangs off the trans and then be able to clunk from side to side.

Just wanted to post an update. Apparently there was a change sometime in the bolts. The earlier models used a 3/8 standard bolt and they switched to a 10 mm in the later models. Just different enough to cause me to worry but the trans tail housing part number stayed the same. They said they have...

The shop rebuilt the trans at the same time as the t-case but I think they got something messed up.
