whats the best way to fix up a few paintless spots?

Just clean it up a bit, make sure all the loose junk is cleaned off, if any.

Painting.

Gray primer is usually best to use. If you use black primer chances are the color is going to be darker.

Peeling clear coat.. options/opinions?

unfortunately there's no "fix" for peeling clearcoat except to sand it down and repaint, as far as that rust goes I would hit it with some 80 grit and finish it up with some 180 after most of the chunky rust is gone then spray a direct to metal epoxy primer on it to prevent any more rust from...

Sherwin Williams paint opinions?

Being a painter I have to agree with Marcos, if the painter is good it will look good. Just out of curiosity, the option between the DuPont and the sher-will is that for a base clear paint job or are they offering you the cheaper paintjob as a single stage?

Rhino vs Line-X Spray On Liner
