    I've heard you can run the hottest thermostat you can as long as the engine doesn't knock..I like 195.

    I'd go 4.56. That should be plenty of gear for what you want. I'm running 33s on my 3.23 gears..want some 4.10s cause I tow. 4.56 would give you plenty of grunt.

    Haha yeah I didn't notice any difference in how it ran but my mileage was awful! The engine can't warm up enough to get to where it's most efficiently burning the fuel.

    Driveline Question, something aint right...

    Motor mount? In my old Cutlass it jerked after a second after pushing the gas to take off and it was a bad motor mount. Or tranny mount. Probably the tranny mount.

    On my 97 half ton Hoe the brakes seem to not grab nearly as well as on my dad's '95 2500 work truck. Even though his truck consistently weighs 6200-7000 pounds with all the tools and stuff in the bed. Do the 2500s have bigger rotors, calipers, or what? I feel so much more confident stopping...

    Dang..glad that solid steel could save you. Crazy old geezer! Is your interior grey? You have the little trim piece that goes around the passenger inside door handle? Best buy stereo guy screwed that up and messed up how the door panel connects to the actual door.

    Someone asked this in the body lift thread and it wasn't answered from what I saw. On the Tahoes and Suburbans how do you raise the rear bumper after getting a body lift? They're mounted differently than on the trucks.

    I've always thought I've had emissions stuff going on. I've got p1351, p0103, p0138, p0420, and p0430. Yeah blah blah the engine is being mean to the environment, I didn't think it would screw up the mileage too badly or anything.
