When I look on the Autozone and Advance Auto Parts sites I do not see a 165 amp alternator as a option to select where are you seeing the 165 amp alternator at?

Okay I counted them. The Plug connecting to the alternator has 2 wires going to it, but the plug has four positions for wires and so does the alternator. I looked on Autozone and it looks like the two wire alternator has a plug with only two positions vs the four wire alternator that has a...

96-98 Vortec Alternator Upgrade AD244

How do you tell if you need a AD244 with a two or four wire plug? Do I just count the number of wires in my current CS130D? I have a 97 GMC K3500 with a 6.5TD. I think my CS130D has three wires in the alternator plug. I do know the 6.5TD gets the tack signal from the alternator.

HOW TO: Fix Bouncy/Hummingbird Fuel Gauge Needle

My trucks fuel gauge only bounces the first time I turn the key on after filling up and only for a minute or so (97 Gmc k3500 diesel) would this fix it?

headlight switch?

I put my park lights on a relay on my 97 K3500 back in 2001 or so after replacing the switch 3 times and and I've not burned one out since. I have a Lance camper and a 18' trailer so I have lots of park lights.

The dash on the passenger side of the 96s is different than the 97's and up and I don't think the third door started till 97.

I looked at a 97 K1500 the other evening (extended Cab with 3rd door so it could be a 98 too) and it had the stamped steel lower arms.

Lower Control Arm QUestion

I have 97 GMC K3500 which has the newer forged lower control arm that allows a tighter turning radius. Will the newer forged control arms fit on a older truck like say a 1993 K3500 and if so will they allow the 1993 to have a tighter turning radius like my 97?
