1998 5.7l Vortec NO OIL PRESSURE

High Pitch squeal from belt area

I've got a 1998 K2500 with a 5.7 Vortec and there a high pitch squeal coming from the belt area. It mostly does it when the engine is warm but it doesn't do it all the time. The weird part about it is that the noise continues for a couple seconds after the engine has been shut off. Alternator...

Questions about swapping a 454 to a 350

Thanks for the info. Hopefully all I'll need to buy is a torque converter. Y-pipe wont be a problems since I have headers I could use and then just straight pipe it. I like fuel injection but I'll probably use a carburetor to keep it cheap and simple, lucky we dont have emission testing here in...

Questions about swapping a 454 to a 350

I'm gonna be doing some front end work on my friends truck and in exchange he's giving my a 1991 k3500 RCLB with a 454. Only problem with the 454 is that it has a cracked block. I'd love to put another 454 in it but the only used ones I can have 200k or more miles on them. I have a extra 350...
