Fuel tank leaks diesel from top, even I have under 10gallons of fuel in it.

Well, you make a good point. I mentally added 2 things together. 1st,the fuel tank was surprisingly empty upon sitting for a while, 2nd, it leaks noticeably after sitting overnight or whatever the sitting time was. I took it that this leak is what emptied the tank in the 1st place. Yup, I may...

Fuel tank leaks diesel from top, even I have under 10gallons of fuel in it.

I suspect the return line as well, but I sure can't explain why it would drain the tank. No matter what, that tank gotta come out. Once it's out, the assessment of the issue can take place. Kinda difficult to diagnose it with the tank in the vehicle.

    Gas Mileage

I once owned a '93 s10 with tbi 4.3 and 5 speed. In stock form it gave me 19mpg with mostly highway driving. I deleted the cat, put a free-flowing 2 1/2" muffler and tailpipe on it, GM performance (low resistance) wires, and delco rapid fire plugs. Installed a msd high-voltage coil too. I also...

I’m a DA…what maintenance have you screwed up?

I have done the trick of forgetting to ensure that the old oil filter gasket was removed before installing a new one. It was late in the evening and I was leaving on a trip the next day, so I changed oil/filter on my '99 dodge/cummins. Oil drained fine, plug back in, filled with oil. Old filter...

Had intake leak and now what

Last week I had a guy bring one of these intakes in that was severely corroded around the water jacket. I ground it out and filled it in. These things are atrocious metal quality and aren't easy to fix, but CAN be fixed. I had no idea the manifold was so spendy! Waiting on pics of the fixed intake!

    LM7 + PerformaBuilt 4L60E

I can respect the fact that you wanna keep it nice. It was alot of work! But I can also agree, it's much more fun to go enjoy what you built!

    NV3500 input bearing replacement

You can do it. Research exactly how to replace the bearing, as in, know what all must come apart on the transmission. Make sure you have all the necessary tools, then get to it. Don't forget, you'll need oil to refill the trans. It would suck to get it all together Sunday afternoon, only to find...

89 k1500 gets warm only on the highway

A complete flush is an absolute MUST! I redneck it. Take off a heater core hose, put the garden hose in the rad cap, start it and rev it up. Run until the thing is chucking clear water. Drain the water and fill with antifreeze. It may not get the low areas of the block, but it sure gets alot of...

89 k1500 gets warm only on the highway

A proper flushing of the cooling system MAY get things unclogged, antifreeze shouldn't be rust colored. Your actual problem may well be the cooling fan clutch. However, if your radiator is internally plugged, your fan clutch can't "sense" the water temp.

Tbi distributor magnet protection from rust question

I'd try aerosol anti-spatter for welding. While not necessarily made for rust prevention, it does do exactly that. Handles heat, won't interfere with electronics.

Best way to add power to my 98 gmc sierra k1500 with 4.3 vortec

I always dreamed of a 4.3 turbo. Yup, not cheap, but different.

Really wish ppl would stop bringing me trucks with hydraulic fluid in trans

I thought I was the only one who got such thoughts AND acted on them! Hydraulic oil dipping sauce will cancel out those calories.

Gmc 6.5 1994 stanadyne Injection Pump

I've never replaced the electronic pump with a new one. Always swap to mechanical pump. It is fairly easy to do, but requires some fabrication skills. While not really the cheapest option, it does rid you of all the electronic pump issues.
