When I changed out my ubolts I upgraded to this setup.
You get bigger diameter ubolts and it swaps the plate to the top so you don’t have that bottom plate holding water and mud.

For the TBI mod I just went to a junkyard, and got a thing there. Smoothed it all down and once I get the gasket kit I'm gonna swap mine out. Less down time and if you mess something up your trucks still on the road.
So I got my ac control head in just now. Looks like it should slide right In and the connectors look just like the ones on the old one. Get Nina go out and install and hope that was my problem.
I did replace the transistors but no change in symptoms. Right now I only get air on the floor. Waiting to get that fixed before I get the system leak checked and filled.
Thanks guys. I do have an adapter but its for a burb without the defrost so never tried to use it on a newer unit. Does anyone have a link or know a part number for the adapter with rear defrost? Would make it easier and probably cheaper to find new control units.
Also on the rear issue, a guy...
Hello all,
Since I have a wonderful 95 k1500 burb, all my damn electrical components seem to be specific to this 1 year
I have searched around on here and I am unable to find much in my search.
I am looking for a new AC control head. Looking at rock auto I found ACDELCO Part #...
What did you use to paint the frame. I almost want to pull my granny just to clean mine up. Lol.
But I'm sure that would lead to a lot more money aNd parts I'm not ready for!
I wAs wondering why you pretty much have to by a whole new compressor when the clutch goes. The diff in price is so close for a full comp, or just a clutch. It sucks.
My clutch is bad but compressor seems fine. Ugh
