Cheap Man's Lift

If your trying to stay cheap just put some coil spacers in there. You can find them for under $100 just while you have it apart take the knockouts out they tripped me up for like a week and cost me a $50 alignment.

Thanks for the info I was able to fix or get the alignment really close. Did the knockouts and put the ball joint on the bottom side of the upper a arm. It's dark now but I'll post pictures of the finished truck tomorrow. I ended up just using a pry bar and punch to get the knockouts out it...

Oh yes now I know what I need to do thanks. The first shop I took it too mentioned knock outs but wanted $250 to do the aligment. I figured I would just pay and get it done right. Asked my wife to drop the truck off and she decided to go to the 39.99 alignment place where they don't speak english.

I finally got around to taking the truck in for an alignment. However the guy says that I will never be able to fix the camber and it's really bad. How do I fix the camber I'm sure it's something simple I'm missing.

There she is i finished the lift tonight and decided to paint wheels. Replaced the hub caps and lugnuts while I was at it. Just need to get some bigger tires they look so tiny now that its 4" higher. Ill post some pics tomorrow after I pull it out and fix the wall I damaged pulling it into the...

95C1500, Myn ended up costing a lot more than I planned because the ball joints, springs, tie rods and bearings were all bad. Considering they have been sitting in the Florida weather I was suprised they were still somewhat intact when I pulled it apart.

Yeah I think the 5" pry bar helped more than those cheap compressors. I was going to put the 3" spacers in there but decided against it which I am kinda glad now it looks good with just the 4" lift. I am going to finish up the right side tonight and try and post some pics. Just gotta wait until...

I found an easy fix for the break line I attempted what you did and the line is pinched at the body. I am just going to add about 4" and slide the bracket up as far as I can. Something I did forget to do was cut off the old steering stops found that one out the hard way when I went to turn the...

I am probably going to have to order a heavy duty one the pry bar idea probably wont work out well. The one I rented is just so flimsy it may work on a small car but these trucks have some serious coils in them.

I managed to get the shocks out no problem with an electric impact. The only issue I am running into now is installing the front coil spring. The difference between the old and new is like 2" and they don't appear to be cut. The new ones are seriously a pain to try and put in I battled for like...
