I did put a K&N cold air kit on mine, plan on some other upgrades but working on this truck is soaking up all my funds for now.

That vic is gone but I know have an 02 Sport which is an Arizona car with 160k. I converted the light grey interior to black, all stock with custom exhaust and 18" Mustang wheels. I love that thing. I only drive it in the summer after the salt has been washed away

How did you mount that Vic fan. I have one from my old 01 Crown Vic Sport that I was thinking about using. it seems a little tall though. Did you cut it down at all? Did you ever get a rad cover made if so how did that turn out?

I understand that it will bolt in. I was wondering more about the application. Is the statement of 3/4 or 1 ton only merely because those trucks came with the 4 bolt main? Now you say I don't need it, care to elaborate? Thank you

Yup. I got the truck put back together an hour ago. Waiting for the sealant to dry before I test drive the 4x4 but I did put it in 4HI and the wheel locks so that is a good sign. Fingers crossed that all is good inside the differential and I should be back in business.

I was able to take the axle apart last night. Unfortunately the previous owner tried to fix this once already. If you don't know what you are doing then get help before just throwing parts back in it. So here are some pictures of what I found when I removed the housing on the passanger side...

Stub axle retaining clip snap ring for 8.25" GM IFS •Outer axle snap ring for GM 8.25" IFS Burnheadge, I found this online. Does this look correct or am I looking at the wrong part.

I will try that first. If it needs more than that I will be no worse off. I didn't hear any nasty grinding or clunking when I drove it home so hopefully all is good and it does not look like a bomb went off inside. I imagine the clip is something I can order from my local Oreilly or Autozone...
