Ok you slam hood shut & engine smooths out? Check your ground wires there is a loose or corroded connection somewhere.I start at the ground to the hood & work down
I'd get rid of that fram filter first of all, total junk. The inners are cardboard doesn't trap anything.Get some seafoam & add 1/2 can to oil,run engine bout 10 mins.Drain oil /filter.run old oil thru a paint filter & see if theres excessive metal. That should clean any junk out of engine
Google Motorvation tbi, they offer a kit that changes the 2 barrel over to a 750 cfm tbi unit on a stock 350 you'll get 330 hp .Lot easier and cheaper that changing heads/cam.Check them out. They also can set up a kit to handle up to 440hp
sounds like more than one problem the high idle sounds like a vaccum leak get engine to normal operation temp then spray some soapy water around intake & all vac hoses.Look for bubbles ,an old windex spray bottle works great for this,if you don't find any leaks then check the brake boaster.Hope...
I have the same ones they're very nice & easy to install, but I wrapper mine with DEI Industry's Pulverized Lava Rock header wraps definately worth doing cus the engine bay temp goes way down & you don't need to worry bout melting wire boots
I rebuilt my engine in a 94 k1500 last july with the edelbrock tbi intake/cam what a waste of money the power gained was definately not worth it.Then I contacted motorvation @ (901)821-0033 (these boys are by far the best) ordered their 750 tbi convertion kit along with a thumpr hyd roller cam...
If your hand is getting sucked toward the tailpipe your exhaust valve is staying open to long.If only 1 side of engine is doing this then you can rule out timing & spark.Pull valve cover & readjust valves but when you re-tighten just go 1/4 turn not 1/2-3/4 like the book says. That might fix the...
I don't think the plug will look that much different if the engine has low miles on it.By the way I had the same problem with a miss at idle. That ***** drove me nuts for 2 weeks.took it to my buddies shop hooked it into the scanner, did the leak down & compression check everything came out...
Doesn't sound like a cracked head. You need to find which cylinder is missing. The way i do it is get a pair of long needle nose put some vac line over them then pull 1 wire at a time till you find the one that has no impact on how engine is running.Get an old plug put it in the wire & ground...
