    Quite possibly! We have ratzillas here in Hawaii that’s for sure! I’m not sure if I fixed the problem for sure but at least he starter is working properly now. Now onto starts but stalls within 5-30 seconds! Lol my problem child of a truck

    I went to remove the Knock Sensor to try to OHM it and the center piece of the sensor was spinning inside itself. So I removed it for now and will be replacing it with a higher quality part. I know I need the 3900 OHM sensor and not the 99000 OHM unit. Trying to read up on how to OHM the sensor...

    I’m going to remove he starter and get it tested. I replace the ignition switch with a known good switch with no change, so it’s not that. Yes you can buy just the solenoid, but a new starter is just $8 more. This starter is new(rebuilt) at $37.99 from Oreilys.

    So the temp gauge not correctly has been fixed. Turns out it actually was the sensor. Went though 2 before I had a good. Standard Motor Products regular line, not the T Series. That’s what worked for me. Truck is still stalling and fuel injectors keep firing after truck stalls out.

    O2 sensor not it. My Sgt. is a mechanic and gave this to me while we were discussing the issue one night. Figure I’d pass this along for anyone else who may find this useful.
