I'm not completely sure on the 93. But sounds like the lever went out. That's the same thing that happens to the 95-98.

My bench seat is acting up more and more, wont fold forward. Its a 88 regular cab so no leaver. use to usually work and now usually not. Any ideas or time for a new bench?

That seat is not safe if there is no locking mechanism to help hold it back in the unfortunate event of a collision. It going forward with you on a front end impact is not good. Have you checked to see if there is a passenger side lever for the seat fold release? If not then try to get to the pivot point of the seat bottom and carefully apply some oil like 3in1 to help loosen the metals.

The whole seat slides and locks fine. Just the top doesn't want to fold to access behind it. I'll try some oil on what I can

If there is no latch to lock the seat back from folding forward then that is danger that I am talking about. In a crash the G forces of the crash would be strong enough to cause the top of the seat to come forward pinning you to the steering wheel. But also the weight of the seat back hitting your back in the collision could be enough to cause you more injury or sadly death.

There has to be a way to lock the seat back in place when it is not being folded forward. If not then I highly recommend changing the seat out.

A previous owner cut the 2 wires going to my seatbelt. Does it matter which one goes to which other wire? Ive tried both and both work the same. I just don't want to "fix it" and burn my truck up going down the road or something lol. Its fine without it wired up but i just like everything functioning.

Mines the same way, all it does is turn the light on the dash off and stop the buzzer that I can tell, any particular reason you want to fix it?

I know it's probably been done to death but to go from '92 40/60 bench seats to any kind of bucket seats/center console, where exactly will I have to drill the holes?

If your going with a later model buckets then the 4 outer holes are in the same spot. On my 89 I only had to drill one hole. Passenger side front left. Passenger side back left I just had to cut the carpet out of the way. Center console just place it where you want it and find a way to mark and then drill.
