I picked up some 6-lug 2wd rotors from the JY, and a 2wd spindle, and a NBS spindle/hub/caliper/rotor assembly so I can take measurements and start fab'ing something up. do the z06 rotors have the same bolt pattern as the 5-lug 2wd trucks?

Anything happening with this?

Rear is really easy once youve gone bigger in front. Theres plenty of kits, especially for the 14Bolt. Or just run a NBS rear axle.

...Seriously? You, Sir, may just be an evil genius!

One question, thou... Could we just use the NBS lower balljoint and skip having to ream the knuckle?

IF the geometry of the A-arms are close between OBS and NBS (i.e. the distance between pivot points), then this may be possible. But you would most likely have to use fabricated A-arms. At least the lower one. Im not aware of any lower BJ that could be fit upside down in the stock A-arm, and also fit the spindle.

Rears are stupid easy to convert to disk, as long as you have the square flange axles (like the later 10-bolts and the 14 BSF) the rectangle flange axles can also be done, but would require an adapter of some sort - so far, everyone just swaps the axle for a square flange axle and calls it good. if you want info, or a kite, email me at [email protected] and I'll get you going. as for the 2wd stuff, I just haven't had time. I still have the jy parts, but again, not enough time to mess with them, and I still don't have a 2wd to test it on eitehr way. I have been reaming NBS spindles for 4wd guys, I've sold two sets so far. yes, I sell them, because there are dudes who would rather buy them from someone and not spend the money on a reamer they'll only use once. I don't blame them, except i like having the tool, and the 2 sets basically paid for the tool.

Have a 89 K1500 which I already upgraded front callipers to the 2500 calipers with Hawke pads, already have rear disk conversion and just deleted the pos/ABS. A 2003 just came into the local wreckers- would there still be a benefit for me to do this conversion? Anybody done the conversion and want to pass on the reamer at a good price?

I`ve had pad fitment issues- the 1500 pads don`t like the 2500 calipers, and the 2500 pads don`t like the 1500 rotors. Just small details.
