Pondering between the BFG ATs or the Goodyear duratracs. The tire is 28570R17s. I would like to know the comparisons and opinions on them. Ive heard good and bad things about both of them. These tires will also never see winter so that can be left out of the factor. ANY help is great!!! Thanks guys!

Cheers!

I've had a couple sets of the BFG AT's, I think they look awesome on a truck and they wear really well, but they are terrible off-road IMO. I haven't had the GoodYears but I know some posters here have and they say good things about them.

I have the Goodyears on my 800 and had the Goodyear Wrangler Territorys on my old GMT400. They are fantastic, great on ice and snow, not very loud, ok in mud and they look awesome on any truck. Looked at the BFGs briefly but if you have to drive offroad at any point, these will kick the BFGs ass. After this weekend I will be able to tell you what its like to tow with them as well.

Not a BFG A/T fan. Used them many years on many different vehicles. I put a brand new set of 285/70R17s on my wife's 05 Durango a few years back. One tire for no reason wore completely uneven on the outside; I even rotated the tires a few times since and none of the other three tires has worn that way.

I think they are overpriced and outdated and there are better options. When the wife's D is due, it's either getting Nitto Terra Grapplers or Toyo Open Country ATs FWIW.

Toyo Open Country ATs were among the top rated AT tires the last time I checked. I loved mine.

Not to confuse you more but the Kelly safari tsr an the cooper discoverer stt are awesome tires from everything ive read about them.

Those an the duratracs are the only ones on my list when I go to get new ones on my truck.

I had a set of BFG ATs on my Dodge and I loved them. I rotated them around every 5000-6000 miles and got over 50,000 miles before I ended up selling the truck and they still had decent tread.

i have to disagree about the bfg and mud, i had 35/12.5/15 for 200,000 miles out of the 238,000 miles my 94 had on it and i went everywhere swampers of the same size went.

yea I def dont have a bad thing to say about the bfg at...had a few sets of them in my time haha...the reason I went with the duratracs was when I first lifted my truck and it was the cheapest 315 I found...and it was new and aggressive looking. Both are great all around tires in my opinion.

The main reason im asking all this is cause I work at a GM dealer and ended up getting 2 BFG ATs with under 50km on them for free because they were just barely cut above the bead(lip that sits over the rim) So these tires are fair enough to say `New`. I absolutely LOVE how aggressive the duratracs look, my debate now is whether to go through selling them or not cause if the BFGs are decent ill just keep them.
