I bought my son ‘99 K1500 a few months back, and ever since then, it’s taken me back to the past and had me wanting another one. I’ve had several GMT’s over years, but I haven’t had one in over 10 years. I’ve been low key looking for one, and I stumbled across a ‘91 6 lug K2500 this weekend, and decided to go get this evening. The guy I bought it from bought from the original owner, and the only thing he was put a set of 15 x 8 rally wheels on it. The truck is totally stock - from the factory exhaust to the stock (working) radio and cassette deck.

The paint is down to the primer in spots on the hood and roof, and besides a dent at the bottom of the passenger side door, the body is very straight and completely solid. There is no rust anywhere. I’m planning on fixing/replacing the door and get a new paint job. I’ve always loved white trucks, so I love the color.

The interior is surprisingly nice for a 32 year old truck. All the seats are nice, the headliner is great shape, and dash is in good shape except the infamous broken peg on the glove box door. The carpet is a little dirty, but not terrible. The door panels are nice, except the passenger is off. The PO had it off because the pass side window wasn’t working (it is the switch).

Yow! That is one nice truck you've got there. I'm partial to white on red myself. I wish I'd have kept my copy of this Eldo. I really like the wheels! I've a line on a set and thought about them for my Tahoe. What size tires are you running?
Nice Caddy!

They are 33X12.50s. I’ve always liked the look of the standard rally wheels on the early ‘88-‘89 trucks with the black caps, but I don’t like how narrow they are. Using these squarebody era 15 X 8 rallys I was able to achieve that look, but wider.

The black and gold truck was the look of the wheel I was going for:

I'm with you on the wheels. My friend has a set of the square body wheels. He's going to dig them out for me, hopefully they're 6 lug. I was wondering how they'd work with the deeper offset. Now I see why you went with the flares.

I removed the bed and installed the Vortec pump yesterday. I’m going to finish painting what I couldn’t get from the bottom side on the frame and put new rear shocks on the truck before I put it back on.

Shiny! Got the new bumper installed. The 14 bolt looks nice and shiny under there now also!

As you can see in the pics above, my tailgate is Nekkid! I ordered the black Scottsdale tailgate decal today. I’ll hopefully have by the end of the week since it’s shipping from FL.

Interesting, I guess they figured out there is $$ in reselling truck parts. I only knew Ecklers as a Corvette parts store.
