PM had to wait. Saturday we got our shelter kitty back from the vet surgeon. Poor thing always had trouble pooping since we got her. She got clogged up twice. They finally did an Xray the second time and found an old pelvic fracture from before we got her. She was injured, and was never helped. So this injury set incorrectly and was partially blocking her hind end. Well we were sent to Dallas veterinary surgery center. One part of the break was at the hip joint. They said best option is to remove the broken part of the pelvis that set wrong and take the leg with it. Now my poor baby only has 3 legs. As such she cant jump up on the bed.

I made this nice set of carpeted steps for her this morning before it got hot out. Plywood and 1x2s along with cheap carpet throw from home depot with spray glue. My carpentry is pretty rough, but the carpet makes it look like a million bucks IMHO. Oh the things we do for our furry friends. If I ever found out who did this to her way back then, I'd kick their A$$ 7 ways from sunday.

You can always judge a person by the way they treat their pets and you are a good man. Well done on the steps, it's the little things that make all the difference.

Thanks Brother. She is such a little sweetheart. After I lost my beloved pup I had for 18 years, this little one found her way to my heart. We got her for Grak a year ago, hoping a companion would help, but she chose my wife and I, so we kept her. And good thing too, because she really needed our help on the medical end as well.

It seems to be a common theme that pets choose their owners not the other way around, they sense the good in people then devote themselves to them.

Last night she curled up next to me snuggled in my arm all night. Probably where she felt the safest after this whole ordeal. I cant wait for her to recuperate. She wakes me up for work, and sits on my lap for petting and ear scratches while I drink my coffee in the morning. I have been missing that morning interaction with her for a bit but I know she doesnt feel up to it right now. Of course our "coffee time" in the morning is very mentally therapeutic for me as well.

We got our kitty a new friend. Hobbes is 9 weeks old and a bundle of energy most times. I heard that cats dont like other cats put in their space. She really loves him so that's a good thing.

I like the traditional English names you have given them. :D
Thank you! A litter of 5 were born in my rusted out 1961 Mercedes. I decided to name them all after luxury car brands. Bentley, (Rolls) Royce, Aston, Martin, and Mercedes. I kept the three above and found good homes for the other two.

Ok, so hear me out. I got this new maverick "compact truck" daily driver and find this pic from another maverick owner that also owns a 97 silverado. I kept saying this new truck I have is very roomy inside for a compact truck, but after seeing this pic on the interwebs, now I'm thinking oh my how full size trucks have grown. A co worker of mine has a brand new GMC 1/2 ton and it dwarfs my new truck, but it also dwarfs my old Silverado too when I drive that to work. I guess todays compact is yesterday's full size lol
