That's interesting, in AZ the state doesn't care how much you drive it, your insurance co. does. My historic plate costs $108 for 5 years and, with my limited use insurance it's exempt from emissions and I can drive to events, rallies, and "occasional" regular truck stuff. My agent said if they decide I'm driving it too much, they'll cancel coverage. I haven't looked at my policy in a while. It looks like I'm gonna have to increase my value since I got it painted :(

Peter,

Our state absolutely sucks for this as far as "rules". I have never heard of the police actually enforcing it, though. They care more if you're driving like an asshat or have felony warrants than license plates.

My Grandfather actually, lol. I actually made the plate a 1995, it had a 1996 sticker on it, but with a heat gun I was able to peel the 1996 sticker off.

My truck in the year I have owned it has seen maybe 1.5mi of road driving. It will get driven more once I finish the LS swap and suspension. The local police around me don't care about plates at all as long as you aren't being dumb.
Ya never know. I got pulled over in my '69 Plymouth with historic plates outside of Traverse City. They cited me for the plate in addition to "failing to stop" at a private driveway. (Made a right turn out of a gas station without stopping).

Did you know they brought the old blue & yellow plates back? I'm pretty stoked, going to see about transferring all plates over to that one.

This is funny  What's the significance of August? Is there no pollution emitted in August?

wisconsin says january. i think the arbitrary break in use is so that you arent able to economically drive it as the only vehicle and never pay to register since you would need wheels for a whole month
January is the month I use the most emissions, I’ve got snowblowers running and a 454 plowing driveways and said 454 bombing around dirt roads for fun :Big Laugh:

Oddly enough my snowblower seems to be all over the map fuel usage. first year esp, it guzzled. so far, I havent had to add gas yet this season. I did use JD 10w30(says 5w) but i only had synthetic 0w30 at the time I did oil change otherwise.. and air cooled engines need something not 0w30 lol.

Turned out it runs great now and the thing isnt using so much gas.... odd

My snowblower feels like it’s running on chainsaw bar oil there is oil in it but it makes all kinds of knock noises. It’s been worked hard all it’s life, I think it’s time for a new one if I’m honest, my dad bought it in 87 when we lived in Sheboygan so it’s been around lake effect it’s whole life.
