^^^ exactly right. DOT won't play if they stop you pulling that skid. As soon as they run the tag they know it's a 1500 and you will get a 4 figure ticket after they weigh you.....not worth the risk
The edelbrock carb is probably the problem. Those things are notorious. Try a holley on there. Much easier to tune. You could also get a manual choke on them. I'm not sure if that's still the case. I'm sure you could find a used one somewhere and do a rebuild on it.
Edit: I guess you can...
Yes it does. I used it to paint the fairing on my Harley in candy red sun glow(factory color) which is a tri color. It came out great. Highly recommend spray max products.
That stuff is garbage. I used it on some carbon fiber and it started flaking within a year. I've also used their exhaust paint. It is garbage as well. Their exhaust primer is very good though.
Spray max Is excellent clear though.
Yep ditch the running boards. You sure don't need them with a dropped truck. Mine had those god awful things on it when I got mine. My truck was my grandfather's, the truck has great sentimental value so I was conflicted about removing them. So glad I did though.
I bought paint and clear for my Harley here. Worked great, looks great and it matched.

Your links look good. They sell the spray max clear that worked really well for me.
Way back in the day when I detailed cars for a dealer, we sprayed satin clear on the engine bay after cleaning. Don't know how long it lasts but it sure looked good.
Might not be a cowl hood. It may be stock with the scoop bonded on. There are a bunch of fg companies that make all manner of scoops. Just a thought.http://up22.com/scoopw1.htm#PR-702
No trim on mine other than the bumper trim. I will probably replace them at some point with smoothies. About 6 months after I got it painted some dude pulled out in front of me and I whacked him good. It messed up the factory bumper and his insurance replaced it with a cheap pos that the chrome...
My son has a 2010 with a stock 4.8 in it. Honestly it runs much harder than my 94 5.7 tbi. Both are bone stock and his has about 20k more miles on it than mine (130k).
I used it to pull two Harleys from S FL to SE GA and it didn't break a sweat. I'm sold on the LS swap.
Imo by the time you get...
So, to use these 3" lift coils you have to use a aftermarket control arm? Anyone use these? If so how harsh is the ride?
I see the RC 2" kits come with BJ spacers. How critical is this? I see on the Canuk site they aren't even offered...
Do you like it? How's the ride with the lift springs? Do you wish you had gone with the 4"?
Our truck's are similar, mine was 2 tone with your color as the secondary color. It is at the paint shop now though getting painted the darker brown. Too expensive to 2 tone it.
Anyone used the RC 2" lift with the coil springs? I was a little concerned about the change in front track width using the spindles on the 4" kit. Don't really want to change rears or use spacers. I'm still using the chrome factory 5 lug rims for now...
