What's the difference between the Carolina Squat, and the Cali Lean?

I've always figured the Cali lean was the poor-mans pre-runner look, that eventually became it's own thing. I can't figure out what would inspire the Carolina Squart, though.
I was curious and found out that the whole look came from Baja/Offroad Desert racing. The lower back end physically allowed the truck to have less damage when absorbing the impact of jumping. Cali Lean and Carolina Squat are one in the same. Though, I'm not sure how much desert racing and jumping is done in the Carolinas???? :33:

It's a BIG fat NOPE either way!

My previous post reminded my of my pet peeve. I'm not a big fan of today's lifts on GMT400s, those with large rims and rubber band tires. Kinda like this pic looks. Just a little too modern for our trucks, I believe.

Regardless of the truck, my feelings remain unchanged. :puke:

The super wide wheels / rubber band tires thing doesn't look good on ANY truck.

And IMO, the difference between Cali Lean and Carolina Squat, is the squatted trucks are WAY more extreme in the angle, to the point the trucks are undrivable - you literally can't see where you're going without leaning out the driver door window, and it's still questionable, which is why it's been made illegal in some places already.

So far you guys are describing my build! A lowered 5 speed 4x4 2500 LD with a carbed turbocharged SBC, every corny accessory I could find at the treasure yard, 3.5” stainless exhaust worth more than the truck, rattle can paint job, dents not fixed before paint, power shifted like it’s a race when it’s not lol!

I suppose that has the potential to be goofy or awful, but that actually sounds pretty cool. Guess it depends on what you mean by accessories though
