Here is a picture of a stuck nozzle and you can see the tabs. Here is an "Injector nozzle Removal Kit". One large wood screw and a interior panel removal tool. It's slot grabs the threads of the screw and is short enough to fit in there and can pry out the nozzle!
This is a new intake for a new motor but no the old motor the poppets came out easily. But also they are built different as the injector itself just pops on them ans also the hose on the top just pops off so you can't get a good pull on them
Yes those are the SOBs! The tabs are tiny and way in there in a groove! I used a shop vac to suck any plastic pieces out. Tiny screw driver slowly prying until can grab with needle nose. I have some long wooden Qtip cotton tip applicators from work I use to clean it out.
Update-the old set has a Delphi mumber on it. The plastic nozzles once snapped in are heck to get out often stuck in the manifold so far 1/2 came out on the injector, half 30 minutes per nozzle to get out. Last 2 going to try and tap it with a 5/16 tap to bite into it and pull out. Don't trust...
I saw single too-but then the time gamble of another going out and the time to remove the top end! Having a hard time finding a AC Delco complete spider other than on Amazon for $852.00!
I added this question in my post about the MPFI clicking
3 months and maybe 1000 miles and #2 is non stop spraying when the pump is on9yes we pulled plenum top and could see it. Drove about 3 miles to my shop when it started running rough. Pretty sure I used the Standard brand.
keep with them...
OK 3 months of driving, maybe 1000 miles and #2 injector decided to flow non stop! I'm not sure which brand i used either Standard or Delphi -nay better brands? Go back to poppets?
They responded and is 409 which they say will "surface rust with exposure to chemicals or rain. Well I guess Houston humidity counts also.
Yea I have a cheap set that looks 304 -and has better welds! Just no EGR hookup and a HUGE port opening at the flange.
Bought some JBA headers to use on the new Blueprint 383 in my 97. 1832S "natural" not ceramic coated but stainless right. After maybe 6 months they look as rusty as mild steel headers!
Shurkey-"These vehicles" GMT 400 1/2 ton trucks mainly after 4 wheel ABS systems started possibly the ones with the shoes you describe. My 92 never had an issue.
Stainless Brakes tech line and catalog recommended the non Quick take up , but i agree a QTU is probably a better choice for "low...
I do know what brake systems do I have race cars we have done all kind of different design to get specific parameters. This truck I have had since new Chevy dealer as well as shops with TechII in the OBD port have bled correctly-it is NOT a bleed issue.Probably something related to the ABS as...
