    98 sierra no brake lights

A couple of things to check in the underhood fuse block: ‣ The M2-N2 fuse is still good. ‣ Pull the Stoplamp Relay, and measure if there is 12V to ground on D7 when the brake is applied.

    98 sierra no brake lights

Which harness did you swap? Was it the I/P harness, the intermediate harness going from the engine bay (C103 and C104) to the rear (C409), or the taillight harness? There was a difference in wiring from SUV to Pickup. The pickups had a separate relay for brakes, whereas the Utilities did not...

Barn Door Hinge Pins R&R, LMC vs Dorman Pins/Bushings, Some Questions

Current Hinges My barn door hinge pins have never been replaced are very clapped-out. They are so bad that there is enough play for the doors to rattle around while driving, even over pavement. Door Hinges: The barn door hinges on the back of my Suburban measure 62.12 mm top-to-bottom. The top...

Wiring changes to suit ARTEB taillights

Follow-up for those making new harnesses and connectors: Connector end views can be found in the full service manuals. Vol 4, Pg 8-122 for lighting connector ends Vol 4, Pg. 8-457 for most other connections Critical ones for rear lamps are C103, and C104, the tail-lights (NA OEM), and C409 As...

Wiring changes to suit ARTEB taillights

I have all the LB-60, GEP-48, and TE-27P on order to compare and contrast. The biggest downside to the GEP and Littlefuse boxes is the inability to run standard bosch relays; instead requiring the 280 series relays. However, the ease of use and modularity may be much better than the TI offering...

Wiring changes to suit ARTEB taillights

If you do not EVER intend to run a trailer, the wiring is fairly simple for ARTEB taillights. These instructions are for 1999 Carryovers/Suburbans/Tahoes/etc, but probably applicable to earlier models models with a few changes. ‣ Clip wires going into A1 and E2 from the I/P harness going to the...

    Interesting set of symptoms...thoughts?

Can you confirm the code was P0403 and not P0430? P0430 is the all-to-common "Catalytic System Low Efficiency Bank 2". (I can't recall if Bank 2 is the cat for the driver or passenger side exhaust.) If it P0430 could be a few other things. ‣ Bad catalytic converter (obviously) ‣ Bad downstream...

    RHD Suburban

There is a difference in the multifunction switch stalk from GMT400 to GMT800. GMT400 stalks (AC Delco D826A, GM 26100985) combine the stop signal to the rear turn signals in the stalk switch. This required needing to run several 2 mm² (14 AWG) wire and full Lamp power up through the stalk and...

    RHD Suburban

That thing looks like a unholy hodge-podge of parts and a complete nightmare for finding replacements. I don't even know what I am looking at for dash buttons here: The "Rear Wiper" switch looks like a parts store rocker switch R&R and the center right is non-stock, but the others look like...

    OEM Fog lamps

Harness may be a DIY situation for in-cabin and engine bay. For the bumper and mounting hardware you might luck out at a pick and pull, if not LMC sells the bumper with cutouts. and the lamps with mounting hardware. The OEM dash switch you will want is PN 15738877 make sure to grab a bezel...

    Backup lights

Have you tried swapping the driver and passenger boards to determine if it is a board or connector problem? The connector is fairly robust and the boards are known to flake out. If you have a multimeter handy, you can check the board for continuity and resistance based on the diagram below...

    Bluetooth OBD2 adapter

With my 99 Suburban, I daily a OBDLink MX+ and real time monitor with the the android app 'Torque'. it gets me Intake Air, and Coolant Temps from normal PIDS and Trans temp from extended GM specific PIDS. I only had to pay for the app and got the extended PIDS for free. When pulling codes, it...
