    Has anyone ever come across a factory 1992 CD player? I saw it in the 1992 Truck Order Guide/Automotive Electronics section. See picture here. I'm refering to the in dash unit at the bottom right of the picture, but also note the six disc unit.

    LEDs, Resistors, Flashers - Should I just give up?

    That's good you figured it out. If you have any comments to add to post #3 in this thread, please do. It sounds like the very first sentence of post #3 is what you did to solve the problem. Annoying how these circuits are wired in my opinion. Enjoy your LEDs!

    I had/have the same problem with my original 1992 C1500 sockets. I surprised it is not universal. I tried four different bulbs and finally modified the sockets with a cutting edge run around the lip of the socket. See this video for details on how I fixed it.

    I think it is the sending unit in the tank. I just got a new one (Delphi) and will install it this week (I hope). I did a continuity test on the wires using a snap on splicer that bites through the insulation and the wires seem fine. I'm not sure what those splice connection things are...
