I missed where he said the return was pinched off. In this situation, pressure would have to spike well above 62. If there is a manufacturer provided spec for this I am not aware of it.
Spec is 56-62. 58 is perfectly acceptable. The fact that it immediately dropped to 54 is not. If it was my money and labor I would bet on the injectors. They're widely regarded as junk for good reason.
What year/model was this on? Every one I've ever seen was glued on with some steroid infused glue that requires an air hammer and a blow torch to detach.
Someotherguy's advice is all sound.
On that EGR tube, multiple applications of penetrating oil well in advance of when you want to remove it will be to your benefit. It tends to be particularly uncooperative. The last one I had to persuade I used a crow's foot wrench on a ratchet extension...
I would not bother installing those Amazon injectors if you gave them to me. They might be fine, but that's not a part I'm willing to gamble on. If those Precision Auto injectors are actual Bosch units they should serve you well. What has prompted you to replace them?
The fuel pressure...
@Bachert24 it is entirely possible the fuel pump currently present is not the original.
@Scottm the stock rail/pump/FPR holds pressure very well. You might see it drop 1 psi/minute after you turn the key off. That's not a manufacturer spec - just what I have observed. It drops, and if you watch...
Gasoline degrades over time. The alcohol they add to gas now absorbs water from the atmosphere which does little to enhance the combustion process. 9 months would not typically be long enough to cause noticeable problems but, as previously stated, I am not convinced the tires on that truck sank...
Scottm's comment about the gas is a good one. How old is it? If you don't know, you could save yourself a lot of headaches by using it to start a bonfire and replacing with new.
I'm not sure about the FPR you indicated, but FP10021 is definitely correct. That engine is more sensitive to the...
Going to have a hard time convincing me it sunk that far into the dirt in 9 months.
Looks like your rear shocks are toast.
It's rare for the differential cover gasket to leak unless someone opened it up. This may be exactly what happened since one of your rear drums went AWOL.
The lower half...
The oil pressure sender is replaced under the hood by touch - you can't see what you need to see. The special socket is required unless you remove the engine.
