My Experience with Sound Deadening - Siless Hybrid 3 in 1.

Yes, for me it's about the overall experience inside the cab for extended periods of time. On short drives I usually have the windows down, music up, my exhaust is making it's own music as I stop and go, etc. It's the long drives that get to me, sitting on the highway taking in every little...

Mine was still stuck good so I just made sure it was clean and went over it.

My Experience with Sound Deadening - Siless Hybrid 3 in 1.

I used two boxes total. I used 10 sheets on the roof itself, which is about half a box.

My Experience with Sound Deadening - Siless Hybrid 3 in 1.

Some Results I got the truck mostly put back together and took it for a drive. It's still missing the headliner (I'm going to re-do it before I put it back in), back seat, and the trim for the side wall behind the driver's seat, plus all the little pieces that hold the headliner in. Even with...

    Rotors and brakes opinions

I did the NBS master. Honestly it isn't worth the hassle. It does firm up the pedal a tad but I dont think it actually adds any performance. I'm thinking about going to the correct (OBS JB7 or 8) master next time I do brake work.

I’m a DA…what maintenance have you screwed up?

I was replacing my timing chain and got the metric and American tq specs mixed up. It was either 26nm or 18-ish foot pounds. I put it to 26 foot pounds and broke the bolt off in the end of the cam. To be fair, that's what the guy in the video said (1A auto I think) and I just blindly trusted it...

    Extra Lift After Shackle Flip?

I should also add that I think I figured out the left/right problem... it was the Chevy Lean! A full gas tank makes it sag on the drivers side. This drove me crazy for a long time wondering why it was always changing, because the amount of gas in the tank was always changing!

    Extra Lift After Shackle Flip?

I ended up going with the 1" zero rate AAL and shims to help the driveline angle. I had to get an extended coupling nut to fit both through the shim enough to be secure on the spring pad. I also went back to 3/1 leaves and ditched the lumber rack. I cut the fenders more and lowered the front...

    New 1997 Chevy 1500 Z71 (TO ME)

That's a very nice truck, I wouldn't get in a hurry to start modifying it. Like the other guys said, a clean stock OBS is getting rare these days. Too many of them got hacked up by teenagers. If I were you I'd just do some small stuff. LED lights all around, polish or replace headlight...

    Sourcing 2wd rear lift blocks

The shackle flip itself isn't that bad, but it puts your driveline at a really weird angle that is hard to correct.

    4.10 Gears?

Check out this calculator, it's the best one I've ever seen for getting an idea for what your new gears will be like. http://www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.html I'll add that I have 4.88s and 37s, I turn about 2200-2500 rpms on the highway, and it's perfectly fine and pulls good. That's with a 350...

My Experience with Sound Deadening - Siless Hybrid 3 in 1.

The Problem The speaker in my driver door stopped working, so I replaced it. The new one didn't work either, and I was able to trace the issue to the short stretch of wire that connects it to the amp under the back seat. The problem is, it's inside the wall behind all the trim. I have to take...

    1994 GMC SIERRA 2500 6-Lug(Light Duty)?

That's what I have always heard too. 6 lug is 6 lug, no matter what's on the doors.

    Front diff swap

They were inconsistent with the 9.5, you could have got it in anything. There was two or three different sizes of drum brakes too.
