@NickTransmissions yes it was. I’ll go ahead and do that. I appreciate it.

    Thanks. Was definitely the issue.

    Slipping trans after rebuild.

@NickTransmissions figured it out, kind of feel like an idiot for this one, but I had the output shaft on my workbench and it was the only thing touching so it was forcing the output shaft up, causing my no end play. It looks like it has .030.

I will make sure to check on the next one.

I’ll definitely check it out. Appreciate the help.

Endplay was not checked on disassembly. Only the input sprag and pistons were changed.

    0 end play. 68 washer

not sure how that sounded, apologies, but it is new OEM. I was saying the old harness connects to that solenoid the same as my new one does.

New oem. Original to the transmission is the same way.

Thanks I’ll check it out and give you an update. Do you have any thoughts on the connection of that solenoid. The harness and solenoid are new but the connector won’t go on unless backwards.

    Slipping trans after rebuild.

@NickTransmissions there is no end play. I am just trying to yank it up. Doesn’t move. Also just testing my connections and my new 3-2 downshift solenoid the connector will not go the other way.

@NickTransmissions shoot sorry. I’ll make sure next time. Thanks for the answer.

@NickTransmissions that solved the problem. I’m checking in playing right now and it seems like there is none on that input shaft. Does that mean I need to go to a smaller selective spacer?

Sounds good. Appreciate it. I ripped a Teflon seal on the way out so I’ll need to replace that. I’ll let you know after.

I may have not had the input drum fully splined into the reverse drum, idk if that could cause that issue.

    Slipping trans after rebuild.

If I apply pressure to the two holes on the pump with the input drum removed I can feel air out of two different holes. The 34 hole I can feel on the higher hole on the inside of the reverse input drum. In the forward I can feel on the lower hole of the reverse input drum.

@NickTransmissions theyve been replaced and look ok. All the other circuits are working. Where would you recommend looking?

    Slipping trans after rebuild.

Just seems to be moving the forward piston. Testing the hole on the input drum outside of the pump moves the 3-4 just fine.

    Slipping trans after rebuild.

@NickTransmissions I am putting air to this hole but the 3-4s don’t seems to be moving. What could cause that?

@NickTransmissions makes sense. Super weird. I bought a kit made for a 03 4l60. So not sure why the thinner steels were in there. Oh well ig for sure.

    Slipping trans after rebuild.

@NickTransmissions. Did some math over here and it looks like if I swap all my steels now with .106 steels I should get correct clearance.
  23. B

    Slipping trans after rebuild.

Top plate is .180. Clutches are .07. steels are .07. Bottom plate is .21.

Disregard with the other steel in it’s at .092. The kit I bought only had 6 of each. Not sure why the clearance is so large.

Thanks. @NickTransmissions got the drum in and was able to assemble everything up to the 3-4 pack and clearances are good for the forward pack. Put the 3-4 together with the exedy high energy clutches 5 steels 6 clutches and the clearance is huge. If I put the other steel I got in the kit with...
