Engine had 180k when I installed it, but completely resealed it prior to installing it 3k miles ago. I did not surface the heads or the block. So I guess my rushing at that point may have led to this.- 1952Chevy

First shop was pretty much stumped. Referred me to his sister shop, and a specific technician. With his snap-on scanner he did pull some codes. MAF, CMP, and both downstream O2 sensors. When I had the sensor unplugged I was getting -45.7 or so. During operations it will be all over from various ranges 25, -20, 11, -15 etc. I'm not ruling out wiring, but from what I was able to inspect everything seemed good. Update. I was just messing around with it and got it to miss while shifting from park/drive etc. During this time no CMP Offset fluctuations. So maybe the fluctuations are due to the misfire? So here's the update for today. First thing this morning I went out and unplugged the cam position sensor. I needed to get about 3 miles down the road to the closest Autozone. Well I think the game plan tomorrow is to remove the cap and rotor, if everything looks good there, I will try a cam position sensor. I really don't want to replace the whole distributor again. We will see what happens though.- 1952Chevy

Exactly. I remember when I installed the dizzy that even at about 6degrees I was getting a code. Now I'm fluctuating over 80 degrees total. The distributor is locked down. One of the first things I checked.- 1952Chevy

Distributor was brand new, has about 2k miles on it. I checked fuel pressure, changed the fuel filter(brought pressure up about 5psi). Replaced crank position sensor. Still getting massive fluctuations in my cmp offset.- 1952Chevy
