When I rebuilt my Cadillac 500, I had some old socks in the top of the intake to keep stuff from falling in. Somehow I installed the carburetor without noticing the socks. Cylinder Compression
Did you assemble the motor, or is it junkyard fresh? Did you have the heads off? Did you have the valves out? Did you lap the valves? Did you test the valve seal with gas or rubbing alcohol?- Erik the Awful

Gasket, friction plate, whatever. What I was worried about is the LMC notches aren't deep enough to allow them, so I ground the notches deeper and they fit.- Erik the Awful

Favorite Shop for EV6 Injector Refresh?
I did notice a slight power bump after installing the new injectors, which I don't get. It should have self-tuned to the old injectors, and it's not like I was maxing them out on their duty cycle. How would new injectors improve power, unless the old injectors were way out of balance? Could just...- Erik the Awful

There's the gasket shown that's between the bumper extensions and the frame. I could probably leave it off, but I'd rather have it in place. I had to extend the notch in the bumper extensions to get the gaskets on.- Erik the Awful

'89 Stepside "Way Cool Jr."
I have probably a thousand miles on the new transmission, and the truck's running great. It's just shy of daily use, and I'm exceptionally glad I swapped the rear springs so it can do truck stuff again. I forgot I took these pics. FYSA, the notch on LMC's bumper brackets for your factory bumper bracket gaskets isn't deep enough. I had to notch mine deeper to get it to fit. Ac issues
My Suburban had an intermittent blower. The connector on those is right above the passenger's feet, and they get kicked a lot. I finally replaced the connector and made sure the connections were good and tight and it fixed it.- Erik the Awful
