XJ Steering Shaft Upgrade (88-94 Trucks) 95+instructions on page 31

Derek Michael in the GM OBS Crew Cab group on Facebook makes new steering shafts for 95+. I think he charges around $125 but I could be wrong.

Has anyone contacted or have a contact phone number or eMaill address for Derek Michael?

I am not part of Facebook and have no interest in becoming a Facebook user.

Dumb question... what does OBS mean? Also does this work on 2wd? My 92 shaft has loads of play

Yes, this will work on your two wheel drive truck. OBS means Old Body Style.

One more silly question... He mentioned 84-00 shafts will work but this one is 97-01... same thing?

Personally, I would stay with 88-95. Everything 96 and up that I looked at when I did mine was different. However, that shaft does look correct.

Edit: I would pass on that shaft if it were me.

97-01 had a 17DD end instead of splines.
