I have a 98 with a 406 that I built with efi on a 0411 ecm. If I burnout without touching the breaks it shifts to second and third. If I drag the breaks it won’t shift out of first. I had a pro do the initial tune but want to do the fine tuning myself. Does anyone know if this is a setting I can disable?

OP, I'm pretty sure you mean "brakes," right?

What vehicle? What engine is a 406? SBC? And more importantly, what transmission?

Do you have HP Tuners or another tuning software?

If you just *touch* the brakes, just enough so that the brake lights are illuminated, does it still remain in 1st and not shift?
