wiper arm upgrade

I recently read somewhere later model wiper arms can be used on 88 up trucks but now I cannot find it. What years are they?

94 or 95 up they changed and theyll work on earlier years.

What’s different and what is the advantage or benefit?

The '95+ have a stiffer spring.
Keeps the blade tighter to the glass.
They park lower on the windshield.
Direct swap.

My passenger wiper arm is higher than my drivers side I need to lower it but my fat butt will bent my hood when taking off the plastic cover by the wipers.

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like a great swap. I never did like how high the wiper arms sit on the glass on my '94.

Don't mix up the driver and passenger sides. Stick a piece of tape on one to mark it before you remove. They look the same...

The late model is on top and the spring in the later model is also slightly thicker diameter

When I had my '88 GMC, I replaced the wiper motor also with a '95. easy/perfect swap.
