Can the upper & lower control arm urethane bushings be pressed in by hand? With hand tools? ...or is a press required/recommended?

With Kit number 3.3147 you will most likely need to use a simple press.
You can actually rent those from many Advance Auto stores.
Please note to follow the install instructions, and grease accordingly.
