Will 93 or 94 4l60e complete transmission bolt right into a 1995 15004x4?

I know the 95's have some different internals but would a complete 4l6e trans from 93or 94 bolt right in and work. I am under the impression the 10th wire on the 95 is for the TCC so a 95 wouldn''t work in a 93 or 94 as they are wired for a non pwm TCC but the 93 or 94 don't need that wire anyway so it wouldn't matter as it would have nothing to signal.

You want to install a 93 or 94 unit into a 1995 vehicle? That 95's PCM will be looking for the PWM solenoid, it may put you into limp mode if it doesnt see it. If so, you will have 3rd gear and reverse and that's it.

Why not rebuild the 95 4L60E or have it rebuilt?

It won't work. If i am not mistaken the 93-94 it has a 10 pin harness. While a 95 is a 11 pin. Or something along those lines, I am not sure exactly. So the electronics won't even plug in. It would probably be easier to swap a 700r4.

Find a 1996 or 97 core, swap over your valve body and separator plate from the 1995. If the 96 or 97 unit is healthy it will work with the parts swap as described. 95-2000 had the same pump so no issues there.

Harness isnt a show-stopper as Rostra's 93-02 harness can be installed in place of the factory harness. The main stumbling block with prospectively installing a 93-94 unit into a 1995-2000 application is the MLPS which got installed onto the 95-2008 4L60Es and the 93-94 cases dont have the bolt holes on the case for the MLPS. Even that isnt major as the cases have the bosses; they just have to be drilled/tapped and longer 95+ selector shaft installed.
