CCA-08-464-8. That's the part number @ Summit Racing.
.550 intake .546 exhaust
Glass smooth idle with gobs of torque.
Call Summit Tech ask for Tom

I personally would not run any XFI lobe on a cast core! I had a XFI grind lose a few lobes and destroy the matching roller lifters. Also that cam even with 1.5 rockers should have the press in studs removed and have the heads machined and tapped for screw in studs. The required valve springs will end up pulling the OEM studs out of the heads. That cam is also very similar to a F/Y-car LT1 cam just a little more lift and slightly tighter LSA.

The Eglin 1136 cam shows a wider rpm range and is within the lift specs of the vortec heads, that's why I'm asking about that cam as opposed to the xfi series by comp.

L31maxexpress was it a night and day difference? how much power did you gain(dyno)? and what did it idle like? sounds like it's probably what ill settle with until a rebuild.

No before or after dyno but what was done to the Escalade dropped nearly 2 seconds off the Zero to 60 times. So collectively it was night and day difference especially after the tune.

BBK Shorty headers, 2.5" head pipes with thunderbolt bullet cats, magnaflow catback exhaust, volant CAI, the Elgin cam and S10 converter.

Idling at ~700 rpm it sounded almost stock. The factory black box tune had a little difficulty keeping a stable idle at the stock 550 rpm so the throttle plate was opened slightly with the set screw.

I put that Elgin E1136 in an otherwise stock TBI 350 with a carb on top once too. It made 240 hp and 330 tq at the tires with stock TBI heads, 1 5/8" long tubes, dual exhaust, an edelbrock performer intake and a Q-jet.

For reference a bone stock TBI 350 makes 150-160 hp and 240-250 tq through the same driveline. A full exhaust as described gains about 20 hp and 30 tq. Well tuned Q-Jet carb and aftermarket intake manifold adds about 10-15 hp compared to the stock SBC TBI system and intake.

L31Max .....So is it safe to say with 20% driveline losses that would have been 300 hp 396 tq at the crank ? Guess those TBI heads that everyone

pans are pretty good for torque .

Hi All, I have a chance to get a deal in the 151 cam, but was planning on a 395. The dyno chart I see on the 151 doesn't show off idle performance. Is it similar or better than 395 for torque? This is an occasional boat tow and fun driver. Mpg is important. I have the delphi spider bigger exhaust and 0411 with hptuners.
