20 inch wheels would be the better choice for wheels and especially tires.
With a truck that low in the picture you're going to need on the front with a 8 inch wide wheel at least 5 inch BS.
On the back with a 10 inch wide wheel you need at least a 6 inch BS.
Pretty much exactly what I've found as well. Front 8"-8.5" wheel w/5"-5.25" backspacing, rear 10" w/6" backspacing, you can run a 255/45/20 (29" x 10") up front, 295/40/20 (29" x 11.6") out back, usually able to find both sizes in the same brand/model of tire and a couple different choices in an XL load range appropriate for truck use.
Boss 338's (sadly discontinued now but I think I've seen an American Racing copy of it) in 20x8 and 20x10 with the tire sizes I mentioned in a Toyo Proxes ST III and a roughly 4/6 drop (it's a C2500LD with spindles/springs and a flip kit and 5 lug conversion)

Same truck with Centerline 20x8, 5.25" BS all 4 corners, same tire sizes, and about an inch more drop at the time (drop springs with a coil cut and drop shackles added) for roughly 5/7 drop

Before all that with the same Centerlines and 255/45/20 all 4 corners for square fitment, so that I could rotate rears to front when replacing front tires

Not saying this is the only way to do it, but it helps to note what others have done and help to avoid costly mistakes with stuff that won't fit then you end up cutting your tires up on the fenders or worse, smashing your fenders when you hit a nasty bump or dip.
As far as wheels with black centers they look OK especially up close but a few feet away they tend to lose detail IMO. Very personal choice. I'd say it also depends on what the color scheme on your truck is. I played with a bunch of wheel ideas for my current truck which is silver/red deluxe two-tone, and was going to get a set of the 20" Rally wheel reproductions that a couple different brands are offering in silver w/chrome or brushed lip to resemble a trim ring, but the cast versions of them look too flat in the middle and I wasn't sold on them (plus I don't dig cast wheels much.) Didn't want to spend the bucks for the forged Coys version with the gray centers but they looked so much better to me. Got lucky and found a practically new set local that a guy was taking off his van to swap back to stocks, gave me a great deal on them, couldn't resist. This truck will be getting a 4/6 or maybe 5/7 (I've got all the parts here to do either) as soon as I can get off my ass and do the work. To-do list is really long these days.
All that aside these Coys are 20x8.5" w/5.25" BS, and have Toyo 255/45/20's mounted
