Yep, I saw that pdf and saved it so it helps. I just want other eyes on it so I'm confident enough to button it up. Hopefully doesn't take too long to shim up and have the pattern good.

I did it again, I feel like it might be up a little on one side, down a little on other side. But I could be using too much gear stuff as well I dunno

I feel pinion depth is fine, it seems to be centerish.
It looks to me like you need to move the ring just a little more towards the pinion. You shouldn't have any wear on the outside edge of the gear face. Here's one from my 10". I had to play with pinion depth as well to get it centered.

Notice there's still marker dye all around the wear mark.
