What headers should i use?i have a gmc k3500 7.4l 4x4.

I like the Flowmaster sound but I read Borla and one other (Magnaflow?) May be better for gains..

Hey Schurkey, Eurocopter here.. I'm reading about exhaust systems. I would like a more free flowing exhaust and pick up whatever torque advantage it may offer. I think (from watching exhaust videos) I want low restriction cats, all new O2 sensors, 3 inch pipes, an H-pipe and Borla dual mufflers with duals out the back. What do you think?
Note: 1997 Chevrolet K2500 Suburban 454, 4l80E and 117k

What's the recommendation for headers

None.

Headers add nearly nothing but appearance and maintenance below 4500 RPM. I figure because you have a dually, you don't spend a lot of time above 5k.
This data is for SBC but can be broadly applied to all engines.
Note especially that the stock manifolds like 2-1 system.

Heres mine, 95 2500 454 with Banks intake, with (what I was told by previous owner Banks headers), no cat and Flowmaster 50 series muffler.

I'm going Magnaflow, straight pipe through mufflers with stainless steel wool all around it, and an x pipe for better flow. 3 inch duals out back...
