The getto fab repair on the rear lines failed so I dropped $350 for rubber lines and an expansion valve tube.
While waiting on ac lines I messed with trans and engine oil temp and pressure guages. No flat spot on dash so maybe ashtray mount???

Did remote filters and stainless cooler lines for oil and trans.
Removed the beloved 4x4 filter adapter and used a standard SBC filter adapter to the block and a spin-on bypass. After much debate with the tech lines for Jeg’s, Derale, and wix decided to use the Jeg’s $31 -8AN pre made lines for oil. The go fast guys all use -10AN for HI-PO but -8 should be fine for a stock TBI 5.7.
Pre made -6 PTFE for the trans

I wouldn’t screw into the ashtray. Btw, that’s a one year only ashtray, 1995.

Painted door latch trim, and a bunch of tan dash replacement parts. I forgot to bring a part to match to the paint store so I went with the standard SEM formula for the 27l code. Seems to match fairly good.
Swapped out the one year only ash tray to one from 98 parts truck. I like the later style much better.

Also got old school dual 5x7s swapped from donor in place of the quad headlamps. Thinking about going with the 94 GMC grill with a
tube center.
